In order to keep our promise of continued improvement, we will proceed to upgrade the Web Hosting infrastructure of AuralSolutions. From time to time we renew ourselves and that great moment has arrived!

Just as up to now we have offered a web hosting service with features above average, more and more web hosting providers are approaching a level similar to the one we have in AuralSolutions, so it is time to re-distance, moving another step forward and moving up to the next level.

The new server will have a better processor (CPU), with more cores, more DDR4 RAM and NVMe storage disk, much faster than the SSD of the previous server.

That's why between this week and next week we will proceed to migrate your hosting account to the new server.
You will get an improvement in the speed of your website and a more robust platform with an additional level of security and greater redundancy of data in the automated backups that the server already performs for you.

Prices will remain the same for the time being, but you will be able to benefit from the better performance of a more powerful server.
You will still have a PHP selector, with which you can choose the version of php you want to use, as well as being able to customize the most common php values.
The database will become MariaDB 10.3. Right now you're using MySQL 5.6, which is now time to say goodbye to.

We expect the transition to be transparent for everyone.
The web pages will not stop being active during the migration and we will also check as soon as they have been migrated, in case there is any adjustment to be made in the cofiguration of your account.
In any case, please check your websites hosted by AuralSolutions after the migration has taken place, in case there is something that has not been noticed and we/you need to adjust.

We will let you know when we know the exact day and time your account will be migrated. In first instance we have noticed that for most of you, the best time seems to be at night from midnight, so in the morning the websites will be running on the new server. The complete migration can take about 5 hours. Probably will be the night between Friday and Saturday or between Saturday and Sunday, so the overall impact will be less if any incident arises. We will be available throughout the weekend to ensure a successful migration and resolve doubts you may have, if any.

Access will be the same as now.
The access details to cPanel and emails will be the same, if you use your domain name.

We remind you that the cPanel can be accessed with just a simple click from your customer area.

The main IP of the server will be different, so if you have your domain configured manually without pointing to our DNS, you must point your domain to that new IP.
If you have a dedicated IP, it will also change. We will communicate the new IP shortly.
The host name of the new server will be different. Specifically, it will be: host54.auralsolutions.net.
The host name of the previous server is: host42.auralsolutions.net, so if you see it in any configuration, please update it.
If you are using that server name somewhere like in the email configuration, please change it to your domain. If you use it as an SMTP, POP or IMAP server, please use "mail.yourdomain.com" (please replace "yourdomain.com" with your real one). This change is convenient that you do it now, before the migration.

Important NOTE: if you do not have the email accounts in the same web hosting space as your web page (in the same cPanel), this migration does not affect those email accounts and you will not have to change anything for those accounts. Only update the data if the email accounts you use are in the same account as your website, in the same cPanel. If you have contracted an external/exclusive email service, do not change email parameters.

If you would prefer us to migrate your account at a specific time, please let us know and we will take this into account whenever possible.
